Scroll for More

When we first designed Branch, we made a commitment to show only what was absolutely necessary on the page — nothing else. We love that the Branch environment helps you focus and articulate your opinions distraction-free, and as the product evolves, we want to do our best to keep it that way.

Today, we’re releasing a new way to discover branches, directly from branch pages themselves. To do this, we thought carefully about the experience of viewing a branch and tried to provide jumping points at just the right moments:

  • After you’ve read a branch, what’s next? You’ll find three recommended branches waiting for you right at the end of the page.
  • What if you’ve followed a link to a branch, but decide you’re in the mood for something different, or the conversation is just getting started? Scroll up! We also put three branches right above the branch, quickly and easily within reach in a natural scrolling motion.

Unlike many content sites, which persistently display content recommendations in the right-hand column, we made the decision to only surface other branches at the very top and very bottom of the page. We think it makes for a cleaner, more focused user experience, and we hope you do, too.
